Carolina Regional Champion

Congratulations to the Wando Marching Band on the first exciting step in the journey to Grand Nationals! On Saturday, October 4th, 2025, students from Mount Pleasant and Awendaw competed with 27 other marching bands at Coastal Carolina University in Conway South Carolina. High school marching bands traveled from all over South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee. 

The full-day competition, including Preliminary and Finals performances, resulted in a successful outcome for the 181 member Wando High School Marching Band, comprised of middle school and high school musicians and color guard. They earned the program’s historic, fifth Bands of America Regional Championship, the 4A title, and swept all captions in their performances:
