Marching Band


Check out our 2016 Summer-Fall Schedule  and the 2016-17 Master Schedule. Rookie camp starts Monday, July 25th! Get plenty of sleep, drink lots of water and wear sunscreen. Note: Students will be responsible for their own filled water bottle, sunscreen, and insect repellent.

Band Forms

It’s time to fill out the band and CCSD forms for the current school year. You can print out these required forms from the Forms page on the band website. Medical Forms are due on Friday, July 29th. All other forms are due by the end of band camp (Friday, August 5). Drop your completed forms off in the marked bins at the practice field or inside the band room. If you are unable to print the forms, please check the band room for copies.

Extracurricular and After Hours School Sponsored Events and Trips Consent for Medical Treatment Form

The Extracurricular Consent form (2 pages) Must be signed by the parent in two places and a date entered for the last tetanus shot. These are easily overlooked on the form. You will need to have the form notarized in advance.

Recurring Field Trip Form

This form is required of all students traveling with the band.

Band Handbook Signature Page Form

A copy of the 2016-17 Band Handbook will be provided to all 9th grade band families in the coming weeks. An electronic version will also be posted on the band website forms page. Fill out the Band Handbook Signature Page form and submit it after you have reviewed the handbook.

Medical Forms

Additional medical forms are also required if your child is taking any medications that must be administered by our medical volunteers or if he or she self-medicates. Please refer to the form page on the band website for more information.


What is CharmsOffice? It’s a software program designed for music programs just like ours that includes features such as a calendar, volunteer sign ups, email, text messaging and much more.  We can track your forms, uniforms, and instrument rentals. You will also be able to update your own contact information.

Bands of America Regional Atlanta / Grand Nationals Indianapolis

Music for All presents Bands of America Regional Marching Band Championships across the country each fall. BOA regional marching band shows are open to all high school bands on a first come, first served basis, providing a positive atmosphere and evaluation and input for performing bands that will help elevate them to the next level.  Wando will take part in the Atlanta Super Regional in October.

Music for All’s Bands of America Grand National Championships, presented by Yamaha is the nation’s most exciting marching band event. First and foremost, Grand Nationals is an educational performance opportunity open to all high school bands, on a first-come, first-served basis. Grand Nationals is also a spectacular music and pageantry event, one that band fans from across the nation and around the world travel to for the exciting and creative performances.

Harmony Renewals

You still have time to get your Harmony sponsors to renew their sponsorships. You can give them a hard-copy form to complete and return with a check, or you can direct them to the sponsor page, where they can contribute online through our PayPal account. The initial deadline (for best sign placement) is July 23rd has passed, but we have a second deadline of August 23rd (for signs to be posted by the second hoe game), so please contact your sponsors immediately!

Fair Share Fundraising and Payments

For your convenience, we accept credit card payments online through PayPal for band fair share and functions…





We have LOTS of ways for parents to participate in the band program. For every outdoor rehearsal, we need medical staff and Water Warriors; we need volunteers to build and manage props and help move equipment during marching season; we need volunteers to take care of uniforms; we need chaperones for every football game and every road trip (to include both marching and concert trips); we need volunteers to serve on a variety of support committees – in short, whatever your skills and interests, we have a place for you! Be sure to complete the “Parent Interest Form,” and watch throughout the year for emails requesting volunteer help.
